Have you ever wondered what JESUS did on the cross, and why did he do that?.... I understood the part that I was a sinner and I needed forgiveness, and by his death on the CROSS I obtained it free of cost. But I have to admit I have questioned this many a times WHY did he have to do it? I guess I could not comprehend the LOVE he had for me. I was praying that the LORD reveal the importance of this to me in a much tangible way so I can never question his love on the CROSS again.

One day I had a very strange dream. It was about me cutting my left forearm because I did not like the numbness in my left little finger (pinky finger)! I thought, that was the only way to get the numbness off! Wow!! I never knew I was so dumb...even in my dreams! So after my forearm was cut I realized how important my left forearm was and how much I needed it to do my day to day activities so I rushed my self to the ER and hoped and prayed that the ER doctor would fix my hand magically. As he was examining, the only thought that was coming to my mind was, if I owned the world I would give it to get my arm fixed, I would give my LIFE to get my arm fixed! I was struggling to come to terms that I lost my left forearm.

Dear friend, the cut in the dream you can say representing "SIN" and the forearm "YOU". Because of your sins you were cut of from your heavenly father. I know it a dumb thing to do, but we do it all the time without knowing the consequences. As how I was willing to even give my life to get my arm back, JESUS did the exact thing to get you back. He died on the cross so that he can get his precious "left forearm" back. It was not rocket science for me to realize that I loved my forearm and I would do anything to get it back, neither was JESUS when he had to die on the CROSS to get us back to him. John 3:16 tells us..."For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life"  Yes he died for us so we can be united back with GOD, he died for us so we can have eternal life, he died for us because he LOVED us unconditionally. GOD's supreme love was shown on the CROSS by his son JESUS CHRIST.

Let's go back to the incident in the dream for a moment. The only person who can fix was the ER doctor, and if he had informed me that he can operate on me and fix the left forearm without any loss of function and moreover if he decided not to charge me for this complex operation, it would have been the most happiest day of my life. That's exactly what JESUS did. He paid the ultimate price on the CROSS and his gift of salvation is FREE to us. Please take a moment to think what usefulness is a forearm all by itself? It needs to be connected to a body, get the life sustaining blood and function as how the body directs it. In the same way we are not that much useful if we function all by our self. We need to be connected to the eternal body of JESUS CHRIST so we can function as a whole body. Importantly under his direction. In John 14:5, JESUS tells us “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing."  Try surrendering your life in the almighty hands of GOD and see for a change what he can do to you.....you will never regret, indeed it would be the happiest day of your LIFE!
